Identify3D was selected to participate in the start-up competition organized during the Inside 3D Printing conference in Santa Clara, CA on October 22. CEO Joe Inkenbrandt had 5 minutes to present on our company, the problem we are on a quest to solve, and how we are going about it. This was followed by a few minutes of Q & A led by VC’s and 3D printing industry consultants. It was clear from the questions we received that we are on the right track as we look to address one of the biggest challenges in digital manufacturing technology.The friendly competition included five other very original start-ups in the 3D printing industry. Conference attendees had the opportunity to hear about 3d printed orthopedics soles (wiivv.com), a secured SaaS marketplace for monetizing 3D printable designs (3discovered.com),3d printed hydroponic systems (3dponics.com), and a web based OS to manage 3d printers remotely (printtopeer.com).
